How to play

Everything you need in one page

Starting a match

  • Quick Play puts you in the public room. If it is full you go to the next one.
  • Play Room with a room name of your own: anyone who types the same room name and picks the same map is in your match. Share it with your friends.
  • Pick a map (Arena, City or Docks) and a view (top down or first person). You can switch view at any time.

Enemies

GruntThe basic creature. Walks straight at you and bites.
RunnerSmaller, much faster, and not as tough. From wave 2.
BruteBig, slow and very tough. From wave 3.
SpitterKeeps its distance and spits slow shots at you. Cover stops them. From wave 4.
TitanThe boss, every fifth wave, with a ring of shots every few seconds and an escort. Its health bar sits at the top of the screen.

Red arrows at the edge of the screen point to enemies you cannot see. Enemies get tougher for every extra player in the room.

Staying alive

  • Cover blocks bullets and spit. In first person you can shoot over low crates.
  • Heal items (green, spinning) show up when someone is hurt, at a random place and time, and disappear after about twenty seconds.
  • Revive. Stand within a couple of metres of a downed teammate for three seconds to bring them back with 40 health. Everyone is back at the start of the next wave.
  • If everyone is down, the run is over and the game starts again from wave 1.
  • If your connection drops, you have twenty seconds to come back to the same place with the same score.
